The five basic books by Rudolf Steiner are:
How to Know Higher Worlds
Rudolf Steiner describes the path followed to gain knowledge of the spiritual world. Giving exercises which can strengthen the soul and spirit.
Theosophy
Covers the threefold human being: body, soul, and spirit. The faculties of the soul: thinking, feeling, willing, are viewed in light of humanity’s development.
Outline of Esoteric Science
Takes Theosophy to a deeper level, dealing extensively with the spiritual evolution of humanity.
Christianity as Mystical Fact
An interpretation of the relevance of Christianity to modern life. Steiner describes the uniqueness of Christianity as a cosmic concept, but also claims the unique contributions of all religions to the evolution of the human spirit.
Intuitive Thinking as a Spiritual Path
This book is about thinking and our observation of it. The most important aspect of this book is the fact that the knowledge one attains is not accepted merely because Steiner shows it to be logical, but because one’s own thinking confirms its truth as self evident, justifying the reality of free will.
These and many other titles by Rudolf Steiner are available for perusal and loan.
